GAME 2 - "Where there's a Wil(son), there's a Way" - Royals 6, Yankees 5

GAME 2

Mussina vs Appier
Royals 6, Yankees 5

In a battle of the pens the Royals came out on top.  Leading 5-4 after 7 ½ inning to play the Bombers put the ball in Mike Stanton’s hands to protect the lead, but the Royals were not having any of that.  After Al Cowens reached first on an error by Jeets, Stanton proceeded to get the next two batters (Porter / Patek) out easily.  Willie Wilson singled and stole second.  In the process Cowens scored to tie the game.  Underrated Frank White followed suit with an RBI single himself to cap off a 2 out 2 run rally that put the Royals up for good thanks to stellar relief from Jeff Montgomery.
Royals lead series 2-1
