KC nursed a 1-0 lead until the 7th when tablesetter Willie
Wilson became a run producer with a 2 RBI single. Kevin Appier went the distance with a 4 hit
shutout.

J.Robinson vs Saberhagen
Royals 3, Tigers 0
Same score as game 1. This time
Bret Saberhagen was locked and loaded as if it was an odd year. He scattered 8 hits without yielding a run to
put the Royals up 2-0 as the series heads to Motown.

GAME 3 – Tiger Stadium
Gura vs J.Morris
Royals 6, Tigers 3
The ever so clutch Jack Morris was on his game for 6 innings of one
run ball. Unfortunately for Tiger fans
he ran out of gas and there were no fire extinguishers to rescue him and the
Tigers season. Left to fend for himself
Morris was victimized for 5 runs (2 in the 7th and 3 in the 8th)
before Aurelio Lopez was mercifully summoned to rescue him. Kevin Seitzer’s 3 run blast in the 8th
broke the 3-3 tie and propelled the team with the best record in baseball to
the LCS
